Gulfstream Delivers Two Additional G700 Aircraft to Qatar Executive
The two new aircraft, both delivered using a blend of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF), increase the total number of G700 aircraft in the Qatar Executive fleet to six with an additional four scheduled.

This first outfitted G800 took flight on Wednesday, Nov. 27, and flew 1 hour and 41 minutes, reaching an altitude of 46,000 feet/14,021 meters and a top speed of Mach 0.91. The aircraft joins the two other test aircraft in the mature certification program and will undergo tests including repetitive operations of all systems during many different phases of flight and a variety of missions, including overnight trips, as well as hot and cold weather scenarios and turbulence.

Both award-winning aircraft feature the Gulfstream Symmetry Flight Deck, with safety-enhancing technology including the industry’s first active control sidesticks and most extensive use of touch-screen technology, along with Phase-of-Flight intelligence. These aircraft were purposefully designed to increase manufacturing efficiencies by establishing commonalities throughout Gulfstream’s next-generation fleet, advances which led to incorporating the same award-winning flight deck on the Gulfstream G700, Gulfstream G800 and Gulfstream G400.

Gulfstream G700 Exceeds 65 City-Pair Speed Records
The latest record-breaking flights include a trip from Savannah to Honolulu using a blend of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) and traveling 4,090 nautical miles/7,574 kilometers in 8 hours and 52 mins at an average speed of Mach 0.90. The aircraft also set a speed record traveling 6,507 nm/12,051 km from Los Angeles to Sydney in just 14 hours and 26 minutes.
The latest records are pending approval by the U.S. National Aeronautic Association and the Fédération Aéronautique Internationale in Switzerland for recognition as world records.
The G700 features the most spacious cabin in the industry and the Gulfstream Cabin Experience with 100% fresh air, whisper-quiet noise levels, natural light from 20 Gulfstream Panoramic Oval Windows and the industry’s lowest cabin altitude. The aircraft can fly 7,750 nm/14,353 km at Mach 0.85 or 6,650 nm/12,316 km at Mach 0.90 and has a maximum operating speed of Mach 0.935, the fastest in the Gulfstream fleet.

Gulfstream announced its successful completion of ground emissions testing of 100% neat sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) containing zero sulfur on the all-new Gulfstream G700. Powered by Rolls-Royce Pearl 700 engines, the G700 ground emissions test was conducted to measure multiple fuel types, including a 30/70 SAF blend and neat SAF (a non-fossil-based aviation fuel). The preliminary results of these tests will inform the industry’s path in further reducing the overall climate impact of business aviation.

Gulfstream announced more than 100 customer pilots have earned type rating for the Gulfstream G700 from the Savannah-based FlightSafety International training center since the aircraft earned Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) type certification on March 29.
In addition to the 100 customer pilots who have earned the G700 type rating, 80 Gulfstream corporate pilots and more than 20 FlightSafety International G700 instructors have earned their G700 type rating.

Gulfstream marks 100 days since the all-new Gulfstream G700 received Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) type certification on March 29 and subsequently entered into service. Additional certifications, steadily increasing flight hours and deliveries around the world along with continued city-pair speed records demonstrate unparalleled program maturity for the G700.
To date, the G700 has also earned European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) type certification along with type certificate validations from eight nations, including Mexico, and the growing fleet has exceeded 700 flight hours.

Collier Trophy for its performance, safety and efficiency innovations, and continues to set industry standards. In 2022, the aircraft completed a flight using 100% sustainable aviation fuel (SAF), a business-jet industry original equipment manufacturer first.

GULFSTREAM G700 EARNS FAA CERTIFICATION
Gulfstream G700 has received Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) type certification, paving the way for customer deliveries of the most spacious aircraft in business aviation.
The G700’s FAA certification also confirmed two new performance improvements, giving customers increased flexibility and airport availability: a balanced field length takeoff distance of 5,995 feet/1,827 meters and a landing distance of 3,150 ft/960 m (standard ISA day, sea level), both shorter than originally anticipated.

The G700 achieved its 50th speed record on a carbon-neutral flight connecting Los Angeles to Nice, France, traveling 5,197 nautical miles/9,625 kilometers in 10 hours and 13 minutes at an average speed of Mach 0.90. The industry-leading aircraft then set its 51st speed record — also a carbon-neutral flight — from Nice to Singapore, making the 5,754 nm/ 10,656 km trip in just 11 hours and 30 minutes at an average speed of Mach 0.90.
The latest record-breaking flights are a fast follow to a city-pair record set by the award-winning G700 on a trip from Tokyo to Savannah in December 2023. The new ultralarge-cabin aircraft made the 6,365- nm/11,788-km journey in 10 hours and 53 minutes at an average speed of Mach 0.91.

Gulfstream Aerospace Corp. today announced the first flight of its second Gulfstream G800 flight test aircraft. The aircraft flew out of Gulfstream’s Savannah headquarters on a 30/70 blend of sustainable aviation fuel and marks a new phase in the G800’s path to certification and customer deliveries.
