In 2025, Bombardier reached a historic milestone with the official entry into service of its new flagship, the Global 8000, while simultaneously posting record-breaking financial results and order backlogs.
The year was defined by a shift in the "speed wars" of business aviation and a significant expansion of the company's service and defense divisions.
The Global 8000 Entry into Service
The biggest headline for Bombardier in 2025 was the delivery of the first Global 8000 in December 2025.
Performance King: It officially became the fastest and longest-range business jet in the world, with a top speed of Mach 0.95 and a range of 8,000 nautical miles.
Certification: It received Transport Canada certification in November 2025, followed by FAA certification in late December.
Cabin Innovation: The aircraft introduced a class-leading cabin altitude of just 2,691 feet while at a cruise altitude of 41,000 feet, significantly reducing passenger fatigue.
Fleet Retrofits: Bombardier also began offering the "Global 8000 upgrade" to existing Global 7500 owners, allowing them to unlock the higher speed and range through a service bulletin.
